Issues over Solutions
Once again the Democrats choose to keep an issue instead of providing a solution. After refusing to bring to a vote the Obama tax increases, the START treaty, a budget, an extension of the debt limit, and other bills, they continue their inaction. They are sure that they can depend on the Left Stream Media to parrot the Democrat talking points and blame everything on the Republicans. Like many Americans I know that the Republicans are responsible for trying to outspend the Democrats far too many times. Both parties are to blame for the problems of the nation, but the Democrats have controlled the majority of the government much longer than the Republicans. They’ve controlled the media since it was created. So I have no problem with setting the blame at their feet for the majority of the problems with this country. It has been their big government policies that created this giant out of control that is crushing the individual and the nation.
The Democrats must feel that many American will believe that all the problems in the world are the fault of the Republicans and the TEA Party. They may succeed in taking Congress back with a fresh new set of Progressives in 2012 if enough Americans believe what they are told, not what they see.
For too long our elected officials have used the system to manipulate the opinion of Americans who don’t follow politics. Currently CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, and ABC News are all using the same phrase feed to them by the Democrat Party. They are all saying that the “Republicans are holding the middle class hostage.” Isn’t it amazing that they always take the side of one party over the other? Wouldn’t it be nice to see some honest reporting from someone, anyone, even Fox News on how Capitalism works? It would be nice to see an honest explanation of why we should not be dividing the population of this country at such a time. The thing that is really being held hostage is the American economy.

With the maneuver that the house pulled on Thursday, it is certain that taxes will be raised upon all American. This was the goal of the Speaker of the House. Expect to see the “News” Media to spin (read lie) this into saying that the Democrats where determined to pass a tax cut for the Middle Class, but those darn Republicans were more interested in eating new born babies. They do not want to solve problems. They’re sure that the only way that they can gain absolute control of the American people is by crushing the economy and make more people dependent on the government. They can only do this with issues not solutions. Remember that this is not about tax cuts, but tax rates.
The outgoing Speaker of the House
Listening to Nancy Pelosi and President Obama talk about economics makes me wonder which has the higher economic intellect him, her, or a house plant. I’m betting on the house plant. They both have said too many idiotic things to repeat in the space provided, but the latest is saying that “unemployment checks are the best stimulus for the economy.” If you don’t understand why I consider that such a statement is a sure sign of brain damage, then you don’t understand basic economics.
Economic growth comes from the creation of material wealth. By paying people to not work you are actually destroying wealth. When you work you are providing a service or product, that is needed by others and thereby adding to society. If you sit at home and provide nothing to society you are not part of the economy. If you sit at home and collect money from the government then you are removing from the economy. Every dollar that an unemployed person spends is worth less and devalues all dollars because that dollar was removed from circulation among people who are created value by participating and providing to the overall growth of the economy. Just spending money without providing services that support the overall economic health of the country sets back the economy. It does not create growth, since growth comes from the work and efforts that supports the system, not simply the consumption of resources.
What makes this situation even worse is that with the national debt and deficit spending the dollar being sent to the unemployed has been borrowed and must be paid back with interest. There are very good reasons to help people that are down on there luck but hand outs encourage people who might do otherwise to not reenter the economy.
Of course President Obama has never created a private sector job, but he sure has done a great job of destroying them. As far as Nancy Pelosi I can’t say if she has ever created a private sector job, but she has spent too much time in Washington. But I don’t think she is worried about being unemployed any time soon.
The New Gasoline and Coal Power Chevy Volt
There are too new coal powered cars coming to market. The Chevy Volt and the Nissan Leaf will soon be available nationwide. Well they will also have a gasoline engine and some of them will be nuclear powered. But most will burn coal. The government decided that it would be more “green” to burn coal than to burn gas. All of this time the government has be against the burning of coal but they have pushed the auto makers into the arms on the coal industry.

Well the cars will not be actually burning coal. They will be running off of electricity that is generated by coal. Since Government Motors and Nissan will be selling these cars nationwide and coal is the most common source for electricity, then every time one of them is plugged into the power grid the power will be coming from coal. I guess the government is saying that coal is clean energy.
The Obama Dog and Pony Show Part 2
This week Obama called for the soon to be new leaders of Congress so that he could set the agenda for the New Year. Remember the last time he held this type of meeting? The one and only time the opposition party was allowed to look as if they had input into the Health Deform Bill. I remember how he spent most of the meeting talking and no time listening. But claimed and support by such partisan fools as Ed Schultz that the whole process had been open and public. Well I was not in this meeting and I suspect that this was another attempt to disregard or subvert the will of the American people. Did I hear him say “yes we can?”
