Thoughts from Thursday 2/10/11

For my regular readers:
After an absence I’m attempting to return to a normal post schedule. Last year I had some serious health issues that interfered with my ability to provide regular post. The second half of 2010 was not a good time in my life since I was recovering from complications of surgery. Much of this time required pain medication. I realized that the use of this medication affected my writing ability and I reduced my opinionated posting. So far this year my “day job” has occupied much of my time. My job supports my blogging efforts. I’ve never been under the illusion that any of my blogs would ever show a profit, the balance between the two means that the effort that financially supports my blog and pays the bills must come first. I expect to continue my thoughts from Thursday and additional week posts, but at times my “real job” may call me away. I pray that my health does not cause any more issues for awhile.

Donald Rumsfeld:
The Left Stream Media wagged war on the Bush Administration for 8 years. One target of hate was Donald Rumsfeld. So many lies were told about this man that many that hate him don’t even know the truth or care. I don’t personally know him and know that I will never meet him, but I don’t see him as a saint or a devil. He is a person who served the country with no outwardly signs of corruption. I look forward to reading his new book. I know that those who hate him will not read it. The hate on the left is so irrational that they no longer care about truth. They only care about keeping their hate alive.

The end of the NFL season:
Before this year’s Super Bowl the singing of the National Anthem caused a bit of a controversy. I must say something about this episode: Never try to make the National Anthem your own. After all it is the United States National Anthem. Anyone who is asked to sing this song should not only be honored, but they should take it very seriously. Don’t do anything fancy, just sing it to the best of your ability. I really don’t believe that there was an attempt to be disrespectful or that Christina Aguilera was only attempting to do her best. So there is no reason to say anything more.

Planned Parenthood and under-aged abortions:
After years of the left demanding that parents lose their rights to be informed and involved in their reproductive decisions why would anyone be surprised that employees of Planned Parenthood would not see any problems with under aged abuse of girls. The left has used Planned Parenthood for too many years to promote irresponsibility. With a total lack of respect for human life, it only seems normal that anyone who actively promotes abortion would have no respect for morality.

You can justify almost anything in your mind when you lack basic ethics. So I was not surprised with the tapes of workers at Planned Parenthood were willing to help with the enslavement of under aged girls. As a society we have allowed left wing radicals to redefine ethics and morality. As we run headlong into an amoral society is it time to stop and rethink our direction? Not only is it unthinkable that young girls could be alienated from their parents when it comes to making such life changing decisions concerning sexual relations and birth control, but that a government supported agency’s employee would take away parental rights. While millions of innocent babies have been killed in the name of a judicially declared “right to privacy” those who support this lost of life lose more and more of their humanity. The tragedy affects more than the victims of this sad affair. The victims also include those who counsel women to abort their health babies.

The Democrat Leadership Council sails off into the sunset:
Well last week the DLC announced that they were disbanding. This group that claimed to be the moderate wing of the Democrat Party seems to have lost all support in the party. The only thing that it seems to say to me is that Bill Clinton is ready to retire from politics. The DLC was a creation of President Clinton? I had never heard of it before he needed to convince the American people that he was a centrist.

So with the recent lose to the Republicans and the conservative Tea Party candidates the Democrats believe that the only way to win is to move all the way to the left. The DLC and its claim at Conservative values just don’t fit into the Progressive Democrat Party.

Considering that this week it was announced that the next Democrat Convention has been named “The People’s Convention” they no longer even pretend that they are not a far left political party. It is easier to understand their desire to “spread the wealth” when you consider this choice of names. Just like the People’s Republic of China, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea I think it is easy to see which path they wish to follow.

Pedro's Thoughts for Thursday 11/4/10

Summary
Share
The Tea Party flexed their muscles this week and shocked the system. I found it amazing how the Left Stream Media went into a near meltdown. Could it be that, for a minute, they realized that their values are not mainstream? It is obvious that many of those who live in large cities have become so dependent of government, that they have lost touch with the rest of the country. Those in "fly-over" country and the major cities see things completely differently. How will this play out in the future?

Amazing. The President is now talking about the "people's" agenda. For 2 years he and the Democrats only talked about the President's agenda. Well at least he realizes that he must change his tone. Considering his alliance that he declared with illegal aliens against their common enemy, the American people, it seems that he may have discovered that that was a mistake. The question still remains: Did he really mean to say enemy? I believe that he said what he was thinking without considering the affect.

The President's speech didn't leave me with the impression that he really understands how just how far out of the mainstream his agenda took this country. The treatment of the voters, the ramrodding of bills through with no debate, the disrespect shown to concerned citizens, and his repeated lies demonstrated his arrogance and absolute dedication to the Progressive agenda. This is a man who was totally unprepared for the job he was given. He Resume' is so thin you can read through it. I believe his time as a community organizer that he thinks that those who he worked to organize was the American People. He freely admitted that he sought out Socialist, Marxist, and Communist while he was in school. So he thinks that the majority in the country are Progressive and want redistribution of wealth. He does not believe or even understand the American Dream. How can we expect someone with his background to lead a free nation?

After 2 years and $3 trillion ($3,000,000,000,000.00) in union bailout, political payouts, and wasted manipulation of the tax code this country is in much deeper trouble. The damage done by people who think any problem can only be solved by government could be the death of this country. It is very apparent the no one in the Democrat leadership understand wealth creation or even the value of money. They seem to think that the "credit fairy" will come in the night to fix the mess they've made. But they will never admit it.

Nancy Pelosi is history. It would be interesting to see the Democrats elect her as their leader, but I feel sure that they are smarter enough to know that such an act would no go over well. But having a person so divorced from reality could mean the death of the Democrat party. It is obvious from what she said today, that she lives in a fantasy world. Such a person should not even be in Congress. But she is from San Fransisco...

Americans loyal to our Constitutional government can only hope that the Progressive scurry off to the hole they climbed out of and we can return our nation to the form of government that promotes prosperity and freedom. I'm not foolish to think that this one victory on Tuesday means we've won the war. The Progressives have been working on the transformation of this country for 100 years. We must fight to reestablish the rule of law in this country. This will require time, effort, and the willingness to sacrifice. We are Americans. We must act in the spirit of our forefathers and defend our country, freedoms, and liberties.

Now is not the time to compromise our values. Our elected officials have already compromised away too much of our values. It is time to stand up for what is right. We will have victories, defeats, and defections as we move forward. We have been losing for a long time and many were not aware. Now is the time to continue the fight and bring others aboard. Success breeds success. Victories breed victory. The smell of victory is in the air, but now is not the time to celebrate. It is time to redouble our efforts.

It is important to continue to search for people who we can send to our state capitals and Washington that reflect American values and will fight to restore the republic. Finding those who can lead but are not consumed with power can be tricky. It has always been the danger of leadership. Remember that power corrupts and absolute power, corrupts absolutely. It is very important to watch our elected officials closely so that they never again think that they are our leaders.

Separating Church and State

Where in The Constitution are the words "separation of Church and State?" Christine O'Donnell asked this question in a debate last week and was attacked for being ignorant. Being familiar with and a major believer in the First Amendment, I know that those words do not appear in it or the rest of the Constitution. One of my very liberal friends was talking about how the "stupidity" and how unqualified she was for not knowing such a basic fact. I had to challenge him. Once I repeated the First Amendment, he then said; "well it means separation of Church and State." They did the same thing that they always do when they lose an argument, turned and walked away. This happens a lot. I've never pulled a Whoopi Goldberg on him, but it is a common end to conversations.

The idea that the words: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances" means separation of Church and State is an amazing bit of imagination. The attack on Christianity that has been fought by the left in this country depends on the use of the idea that showing Christian faith is unconstitutional. But it doesn't take a constitutional scholar to read the words and understand what it means. For too long the Atheist have used the ignorance of many Americans to take away a basic human right away from us all. I don't care how you worship, even if it is nothing, as long as your faith doesn't interfere with my faith. That is the meaning of the First Amendment.

Any belief system that affects the actions of a person is a religion. The very first words are Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion. But almost daily we see those who practice Atheism push their belief system on us all. They demand that the government remove Christianity and all public display of it from public display. It is not that they are willing to tolerate us, they threaten to sue whenever they see it. Christians are constantly attacked for their faith on the media outlets while Islam is protected.

As I first mentioned last week the phrase that they use is separation of Church and State. Since Christians go to churches this is an attack on Christians. They don't say Mosque and State, Temple and State, or Synagogue and State it is hard to deny that the target is not Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, or other faiths. I will go as far as saying that those who are pushing this agenda are well aware of the fragile state of their argument but think that they can destroy the Christian Church by using our beliefs and sense of fair play against us.

I've never heard of the ACLU suing to prevent Muslims from praying in public. In fact I seem to remember them suing to force schools to give Muslims time to pray. I also remember reports that the same schools that were sued to stop the teaching of Christian beliefs started to teach Islamic beliefs and their reason was: "Islam is not a religion. It is a cultural system. If a government school is not going to teach Christian faith but will teach Islamic faith, then this is a case of the government trying to establish a religion. This is a clear violation of the rights of the Christians. Those who wish us to believe their twisted view would deny us of "the free exercise thereof." Each time the ACLU sues to stop the free exercise of the Christian faith they violate the Constitutional rights of us all. They've won so many lawsuits by default that they have become arrogant.

Last week NPR the National Propaganda Radio showed their true colors again in a very public way. After taking millions of dollars from left wing financier George Soros, they fired a Juan Williams for expressing his opinion on a national program. He simply expressed the same view of many Americans. More and more Americans understand that Islam is more than a religion. It is a total social system. That includes dress, diet, and their own legal system based upon Sharia Law. When you see a person in full Islamic dress you have to wonder how deep their devotion goes. It is nothing more than basic human nature of self preservation to worry about your own safety. I must say that the Federal Government has done nothing in the last few years to make me feel more secure. The actions of NPR were meant to silence the discussion surrounding the intolerance in the Muslim faith. Their Political Correctness does not serve the citizen of this country. They only wish to push their twisted view on the world.

Wall of Misconception: Does the Separation of Church and State Mean the Separation of God and Government?
Does the Separation
of Church and State
Mean the Separation
of God and
Government?
by Peter Lillback
A warning shot was fired this week to let the "left stream media" that they are required to stay on the straight and narrow path of left beliefs. It seems to have backfired. After many years of NPR attacking the America belief system with far left and progressive, hate, intolerance, and propaganda they may have finally crossed the line. They showed their arrogance in a way that upset even their liberal listeners. The uproar may finally force the government to stop pouring money into an organization that does not deserve public money. If what they do is so important then they should be able to sell advertisement and be self supporting like any other network. The idea that they must have government money to survive proves that they are not serving the public.

It is important to remember that the government has been promoting religion through many means. It is pushing Islam and Atheism. NPR and PBS, although considered "private" corporations, are extensions of the government. They depend on Federal and local government money and their founding under a mandate of the State means that they are a government outlet. They have had no reason to serve the public at large or provide fair and balance reporting. If you spend any time at listening to their programming, you will only hear left wing views. The entire episode this week shows that even someone as liberal as Juan Williams is not safe when he stepped outside their liberal views. He got to a taste of Liberal intolerance.

Now is the time for Christians to push back. We must reclaim our rights and silence those who have taken our right to freely exercise our beliefs. No matter what you believe you must see that those who are working to destroy this first of our enumerated rights, will eventually take away all of our rights if we don't stand up now. The idea that somehow the Constitution says that there is a separation of Church and State is insane. For too long we have been divided over petty disagreements. It is time that we accept that what we have in common is much greater then what is dividing us. We must stand up and be counted or we will be forever silenced. The Constitution does not contain the words "separation of Church and State" we can not allow these lies go unchallenged. It is time to stand up to the ACLU and make sure that they no longer deny us of our rights. Their actions are an attack on the basic principles that make this country great. We must reclaim our rights and live and let live.

Racism in the 21st Century Part 2

Those who wish to lead must unite a people to succeed. Those who divide are doomed to failure. There will always be people that consider themselves to be superior to everyone. These people will denigrate and ridicule anyone who does not agree with their way of thinking. It is common to see the ill informed, arrogant, and elitist refer to others in generalized terms in an attempt to dehumanize a group or individual. This type of behavior is usually done to make the person doing it to feed their inflated egos and to attempt show others that are superior in some way. The problem lies in the underling reasoning. If you must denigrate another person to somehow feel superior then you are only demonstrating a lack of culture, intelligence, reasoning, and overall humanity. To continue such behavior begins to border on stupidity.

The human race consist of a rainbow of diverse ideas. No two people have the same exact thought process. We form groups for self protection or for common cause, but it is rare for any group to stay totally united unless there is respect within the group. Group think can lead to gang mentality, but generally only when spurred on by a agitating element. Such as external threats or shows of force. People will defend themselves when threatened. In the current environment I don't see acts of violence from the right, since many are now feeling empowered after many years of isolation. The Progressives are the group that seems to be more threatened and are currently committing acts that can inspire their own ranks to some sort of action. I see gang mentality in the egging of buses and the attacks on Tea Party members. When the attacks go from being made on the group to personal attacks and slurs the line has been crossed. Members of the Democrat party, SEIU, other Progressive hate groups, affiliated hate group have crossed the line several times.

Individuals that do wrong must be called out, but the intellectually lazy way that some people attack whole groups with unfounded slurs gains nothing for the whole and diminishes the person behind the attack. Such is the state of the current political debate. Instead of debating issues, the media and those that blindly follow are attacking all who disagree with their agenda. Rational thought and consideration have been reduced to name calling. If you only see the world in black and white then you need to take a long look at yourself.

Racism in the 21st Century

A common statement from supporter of the current administration is: You only oppose the Presidents policies because he is black. But as I have asked those who direct that question at me: So is the only reason you support his policies is because he is black. I usually don't get a reply but one person did say that my statement was too ridiculous for him to respond. But I think both are equally ridiculous. If one is true for all then the other must equally be true. Facing your own prejudices can be difficult for us all and we all have prejudices. I generally like brussel sprouts but I've tried them at times and didn't like them. So I'm predisposed to think that they are good. This is not a bad thing. But prejudging people based only on their skin pigmentation is wrong.

I constantly hear reports on the news about the Black Caucus and the NAACP, but I always wonder how this small group of people can say that they represent the views of all persons of color. To assume that all people think the same due only to their lack or overabundance of melanin just seems to be racial profiling and intellectually dishonest. But we see people who are willing to cry racist at the drop of a hat, segregate themselves and demand certain treatment due to their skin color. I will not use the word that comes to mind. I will let you the reader to judge for yourself.

The major news networks have worked overtime repeating the narrative that the TEA Party members are all racist and homophobic. But they seem to have come up short on proof. Without a single bit of proof they have created a drum beat that is resonating with many on the far left. Of course the lack of evidence has not stopped many of those who believe it from repeating it. It seems that proof is not important as long as it fits a certain political goal or their own narrow bigoted view on the world. It is truly bigotry to accept as the truth something that fits into your own prejudicial view of the world and believe it no matter what the facts. In an effort to create racial disharmony those in power were willing to stage events. The madness of this type of attack on the American people is shameful. But I don't see much shame on the Progressive side of our rulers. Racial discourse and distrust is something that you would think an intelligent leadership would wish to avoid not promote. But it appears that they are not as smart as they thought.

Along with the racist moniker and racial slurs being cast at those who are exercising their right to free speech and addressing the government for a redress of grievance, they are under a constant attack of being violent. But with no proof again or incident to point to to prove such a incendiary accusation there are those who still repeat the charge as if it is a absolute truth. When I've asked anyone repeating any of the claims made, I'm attacked personally. Which means to me that they are not concerned with the truth. They only wish to repeat the hate filled ridiculous claims. The idea that they would actually engage in a thoughtful conversation or listen to an opposing viewpoint seems to be alien to their beliefs.

Where did we go wrong? There was a time in this country when people were proud too say: "I may not believe in what you say, but I will fight to allow you to say it." But more and more people only want their points of view heard. They will do anything to silence any opposing views. Violence is not beyond the tactics that many of these people will use. The Left Stream Media is fast to accuse those in the TEA Party of being hate filled, gun toting racist, who will at any moment commit unspeakable acts of violence and ignore the violence that occurs every year at left wing protest.

Now it seems that we hear someone multiple times daily talk about the racist Tea Baggers. But have you noticed that it just doesn't affect people that same way. They pulled out their big gun. They thought that they could silence the American people with a racial slur and found that the weapon is not working like it once did. The more they throw around the term with no proof and as the TEA Party movement has grown larger, fewer people believe it or are affected by it. Now that the Democrats have lost their main weapon they are dumfounded. They thought that they were in total control and could silence anyone who dared to question their edicts. But they overused the racist term and it is becoming meaningless.

I feel that we should all be proud of our one race. The Human Race. It is the only one that really counts in the end. It is sad to say that I don't see the racial superiority of the Human Race, due to the bigotry of the Progressives and their hate mongering. Their hate for mankind and anyone who disagrees is a major setback for relations within this Human Race. Racism is not dead in the 21st Century, it only has a new face.
