Where Has the Thrill Gone?

I sat up last night to listen to the President of the United State perform his acceptance speech. I know I listened to the entire speech, but for the life of me, I don’t remember much of what he said. I know that he did accept the nomination. I know that he tried to sound like a conservative. I know he talked for over half an hour, maybe closer to an hour. I’m not really sure if there was anything in that speech that will last.

Just like in 2008 he reached out to those undecided, conservative Americans, and Reagan Democrats who supported him after they started to pay attention. They heard a man who spoke in broad terms that sounded very conservative. This overall act and the coverage by the Left Stream Media that did not cover his contradictions and deceitful record hide his true character. Many of his new supporters where filled with hope and a deep desire to see him succeed. I believe many wanted to show that the racism of the past would be put behind them as they pull the lever to vote a black man into the highest office in the nation. They really wanted to believe. Yes to believe in something. They wanted to believe that this man could actually provide the change in Washington to turn the nation around and return us to a form or government that reflects the majority.

Unfortunately after 4 years it appears that the hope and desires of many Americans have turned into daily nightmares of denied high unemployment, ignored inflation, blame, and deception. We’ve seen anyone who even questioned him or his policies being call racist. Any set back or problems have been blamed on the past administration or some phantom enemy. Instead of bringing the nation together he has worked to divide us. Instead of cutting spending his lack of leadership has led to uncontrolled spending, crony capitalism, record deficits, and a world much more dangerous than the day he took office.

While blaming the past many of his policies mirror those of the Bush Administration. His health care plan that increases government control over every America was actually started with the passing of Medicare Part D. TARP may have been started under Bush, but Obama was happy to take it over and expand it. Obama stimulus was also attempted by Bush. He rails against the “Bush Era Tax Cuts” but when he had total control of Congress, he did nothing to overturn or raise those rates. Let’s face it when he talks about returning to the failed policies of the past, he is whistling past the graveyard. His “plan” is the same old “tax and spend” policies that have been exposed by Progressive politicians for over a century. The only thing new is the speed at which he has pushed the nation into socialism.

During his time in office he has constantly attacked any American individual or group that disagrees with his ideas. His attack on the citizens, their security, and the sovereignty of the states not only weakens our common binds but endangers our national identity. The Fast and Furious scandal, which could be considered as an act of war by our government, has been covered up with the use of Executive Privilege paints a dark cloud of suspicion over the entire executive branch. This act of arming drug gangs has been responsible for the death of Mexican and American citizens, including at least one DEA Agent, Brian Terry.

Bigots, Tramps, and Thieves
While Mr. Obama was putting on the conservative act, it is hard to forget the acts of those who where cheering him on. While millions of Americans are un or under-employed, unknown numbers of people who have given up hope to find employment, and Billions of dollars have been wasted or sent overseas to support foreign business the Democrats focused their energies on social issues.

While their chosen leader put on a “moderate” and conservative face, they showed that their extreme and radical ideas were more important the health of the people of this nation. These narrowed minded radicals demonstrate such vial hate for the traditions and for the nation as a whole that it is impossible for them to hide it. They give lip service to helping the poor, while pushing government funded abortion, gay marriage, and caps on earnings. This convention was attended by people who are so divorced from the normal life of most Americans that they cannot understand how their image has been diminished in the eyes of God fearing and loyal Americans.

The parade of extremist that I say as I watched these gypsies, tramps, and thieves only shows how irrelevant this party has made itself. Their lies, lack of self-respect, and open contempt for the things that made this country great makes me feel sad. I pray that they will one day see that deception, lack of morals, and the avocation of theft will not help anyone. Well except the immoral, lying thieves that they have so much respect.

The Democrat Party has become a party of exclusion. They will not allow anyone in the party that is pro-life or belief in any moral value system. The President approved a platform that not only excluded God but supported the pro terrorist concepts of the enemies of one of our strongest allies. This last one showed a lack of respect for a law signed by Bill Clinton. The way in which they “fixed” this “error” showed that not only does a majority of the party support the platform as written, but that the leaders of the party don’t respect the rule of law or their party.

Their greatest weakness in that they believe that they are the majority. This is something that I was afraid was true. That was before the 2010 mid-term elections. This is not the time to ignore the record of our current President as the media has chosen to do in the past. It seems to me that this time around Chris Matthews should be feeling something going down his leg this year and it is not a thrill.

WI Win

When you see daily the government ceasing more and more power and attacking the Constitution it is easy to become cynical. The progressives as they continue to preach to the nation nightly that the things that made this nation great are evil, out of date, or no longer relevant to “today’s world.” The Left Stream Media constantly paints a progressive picture of the world as they ignore the hate and violence on the left but accuse conservative Americans for events that never occur.

With so many factors—even with the Internet as a balance to the LSM—it is hard to stay positive. Any thinking American knows the obstacles faced by anyone who is reformed minded. There are huge Federal and bureaucracies. The public sector unions are very powerful and command giant war chest to protect their stranglehold on government workers and Democrat politicians. The incestuous relationship between the unions and Democrat party officials are legendary. Taking on these mostly corrupt and highly thuggish machines is enough to make a person concerned about winning such a battle depressed. When Obama took the Administration branch in 2009 and started his push for “card check” that would have, if passed, allowed forced unionization across the nation. The nations march to socialism at the least and communism at the worst seemed to be a predetermined fact.

Mr. Obama has had a near parade of union leaders through the White House, starting soon after his election. These close relationships with union leaders and his admitted preference for radicals, socialist, communists, and domestic terrorists are enough to understand that this man and his close advisors do not have the same ideas for the future of this nation. He and his advisories not only have been willing not let a crisis go to waste, but seem quite willing to create a crisis to exploit. This is not a recipe for a bright future and some of his policies may have damaged this nation forever.

His now revealed membership of the far left "New Party" shows his true goals of this country. Their connection with ACORN not only adds to the concerns that I have been fighting, but it also drives home how important the November elections are to the future of our republic. I understand how each and every citizen is to this fight. Although his ego seems to have caused him to not support the unions in their hour of need, I don’t believe he has abandoned his goals. He just knows that if he wants to maintain his seat of power, he can not openly support the unions with such a show of opposition. I’m sure that he believes that he will be able to obtain many of his goals, but only if he gets that second term. Who knows, he might think that he will be able to actually change the system so that he can get a third and fourth term. Maybe he thinks he can cease even more power and control. He has not been afraid to exceed his authority with Executive Orders and regulations.

The results of the Wisconsin win this past Tuesday, along with the little watched ones in California, are enough to give honest freedom loving Americans hope. Over the past few decades labor unions have taken control of many local governments. Many partisans, labor leaders, and Democrat operatives will say that that assertion is false, but look at how much power these unions have obtained. This relationship is driving many cities, counties, and state governments into bankruptcy. The nation as a whole is near the edge of financial collapse due to crony capitalism and unchecked corruption.

Although I’m very pleased to see the people of Wisconsin winning some control back from a system that has raided treasuries across the country with wild abandonment one victory does not win the war. Because this is a war on the union thugs that are unafraid to use almost any means to win. These wins have wounded the unions, but they are now aware that they are fighting a much larger and important battle then they first thought. They will be fighting back as hard as they can to preserve the power they have enjoyed. Nothing is more dangerous then a wounded animal. The actions that those union supports took last year were those more like animals and less like reasonable people.

Don’t get me wrong. I am not so much anti-union as anti big union. When unions became larger than the businesses that they unionized they became big business. When unions openly began to openly support socialism and reject the capitalist system they became an enemy to the nation and the republic. When unions became a barrier between the people and their government they no longer served as a benefit to the nation. I am and have always been an opponent of public sector unions. There are many reasons why private sector unions came into existence and why they’ve lost their membership and political power. They over exceeded their relevance and out grew their needs. The unions have become too radical and too big to serve the average workers. They seem to only serve their national goals and the huge money that comes with their size.

Now is not the time to celebrate the win in Wisconsin too much. We must learn from the victory and understand the weaknesses of the public sector unions that have attacked our system of government, the free enterprise system, and the American way of life. The next election is too important to assume that we have won the day. We must not aim to destroy the unions, but we must curtail their power. We must find and remove the thugs from their ranks. We must take control of our nation and restore our republic by ending the creeping tyranny of the unions, the government, the Progressives, and the Democrat Party.

If we do not follow through on the lessons learned from June 5, 2012 this win will turn into a footnote in the history of the demise of the United States of America and our once grand republic. Moving forward to November is something that we must keep in mind. The Wisconsin win is one victory in a long battle. We can not throw it away.

None of the Above...Again

The Democratic Primary of 2010 was very interesting. One of the most interesting things was when a political unknown won the South Carolina Democrat Primary for the U. S. Senate race. I wrote about this in “None of the Above” and “The Shocker in South Carolina.” But once again Democrat voters have spoken their disappointment of their party through the electoral process. Now that it is primary season again many of the loyal party members are going against the party bosses. The mood of the voters would seem to be very unsettled. Although the “powers that be” wish to portray these primary results to uninformed “southern voters,” Republican tricks, racism, or other convenient self-serving excuses. But dismissing the concerns of the rank and file of an American political party is not a formula for long term success.

Seed Newsvine

In 2008 Alvin Greene entered the South Carolina primary with what was assumed to be no chance of winning. This assumption was wrong. He won the primary and then was defeated in the general. It was a clear case of the members of the party voting for “none of the above.” This year it seems to have happened again when the voters in West Virginia voted in a large number against Baraka Obama for a federal prisoner. This can only be seen as a protest vote. To think that at least 40% of Democrats that voted in the West Virginia primary would go to the polls and select an unknown person over the seated President is truly amazing. It is also should be keeping many politicians and political advisors awake at night.

The political unrest is not confined to the Democrats. This year has seen a couple of incumbent Republicans have been shown the door. Several politicians have sensed the mood change and decided to not seek reelection, but it appears that there are many who don’t understand the change in the political winds.

The arrogance of the ruling class in this nation has separated them from the nation as a whole. For many years our children have been taught socialism is a better system. The ideas that made this country great have been demonized for years. There are too many socialists and communist in our government. These forms of governing are at odds with freedom and liberty. The United States was built on the principle of citizen representation. When our representatives are actively pursuing socialism then freedom will soon be come extinct. Freedom and socialism are at odds with one another. There is no way that you can confiscate a person’s possessions and still claim that that person is free. Without property rights and the dream of prosperity there is no America. There is only slavery and servitude.

The Communist Party USA stopped running candidates over a decade ago. The reason they put on their website was: That the Democrat Party’s goals were in line with their goals. Far too many members of Congress are members of the Progressive caucus. Their overall goals are at odds with everything I believe in as a freedom loving American. It seems that too many citizens in this nation are willing to give up liberty for the lies and promises of the Progressive Socialist. As they have gained more and more power they take more and more of our liberties away. This process has been so slow that many of the people today don’t realize what has been lost.

When people obtain power and lose sight of those who they have been elected to server, then tyranny will follow. The political parties have lost sight of the average person and the ideas of American freedom. Our politicians have talked about controlling us. Freedom and government control are on the opposite ends of the scales.

We must regain our freedom of speech. When I was young American would say: “I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight for your right to say it.” This has been lost to “Political Correctness” while many on the left or of a “protected” ethnic group can say anything without repercussion.

We as a people must regain our liberties. It seems that many of the freedom loving loyal American Democrats beginning to understand that the policies of the people they have been supporting no longer support the nation. They understand that democracy and socialism are far different things. They see the Progressives spending the nation into irreversible debt. They see corruption and crony capitalism. They see the FOB (friends of Barak) getting kickbacks and making millions while they are unemployed or underemployed.

So yes I do believe that there is a rebellion in the Democrat Party’s loyal supporters as they continue to look to vote none of the above whenever they can. I can only wonder how many of these Democrats will hold their nose and vote Republican or just stay at home on Election Day. I can only pray that more and more of our leaders will be replaced with intelligent and loyal Americans who will stop the out of control spending and government regulations. That will be just the beginning of returning our nation to the freedoms that made it great.
