Pedro's Thoughts for Thursday 11/4/10

The Tea Party flexed their muscles this week and shocked the system. I found it amazing how the Left Stream Media went into a near meltdown. Could it be that, for a minute, they realized that their values are not mainstream? It is obvious that many of those who live in large cities have become so dependent of government, that they have lost touch with the rest of the country. Those in "fly-over" country and the major cities see things completely differently. How will this play out in the future?

Amazing. The President is now talking about the "people's" agenda. For 2 years he and the Democrats only talked about the President's agenda. Well at least he realizes that he must change his tone. Considering his alliance that he declared with illegal aliens against their common enemy, the American people, it seems that he may have discovered that that was a mistake. The question still remains: Did he really mean to say enemy? I believe that he said what he was thinking without considering the affect.

The President's speech didn't leave me with the impression that he really understands how just how far out of the mainstream his agenda took this country. The treatment of the voters, the ramrodding of bills through with no debate, the disrespect shown to concerned citizens, and his repeated lies demonstrated his arrogance and absolute dedication to the Progressive agenda. This is a man who was totally unprepared for the job he was given. He Resume' is so thin you can read through it. I believe his time as a community organizer that he thinks that those who he worked to organize was the American People. He freely admitted that he sought out Socialist, Marxist, and Communist while he was in school. So he thinks that the majority in the country are Progressive and want redistribution of wealth. He does not believe or even understand the American Dream. How can we expect someone with his background to lead a free nation?

After 2 years and $3 trillion ($3,000,000,000,000.00) in union bailout, political payouts, and wasted manipulation of the tax code this country is in much deeper trouble. The damage done by people who think any problem can only be solved by government could be the death of this country. It is very apparent the no one in the Democrat leadership understand wealth creation or even the value of money. They seem to think that the "credit fairy" will come in the night to fix the mess they've made. But they will never admit it.

Nancy Pelosi is history. It would be interesting to see the Democrats elect her as their leader, but I feel sure that they are smarter enough to know that such an act would no go over well. But having a person so divorced from reality could mean the death of the Democrat party. It is obvious from what she said today, that she lives in a fantasy world. Such a person should not even be in Congress. But she is from San Fransisco...

Americans loyal to our Constitutional government can only hope that the Progressive scurry off to the hole they climbed out of and we can return our nation to the form of government that promotes prosperity and freedom. I'm not foolish to think that this one victory on Tuesday means we've won the war. The Progressives have been working on the transformation of this country for 100 years. We must fight to reestablish the rule of law in this country. This will require time, effort, and the willingness to sacrifice. We are Americans. We must act in the spirit of our forefathers and defend our country, freedoms, and liberties.

Now is not the time to compromise our values. Our elected officials have already compromised away too much of our values. It is time to stand up for what is right. We will have victories, defeats, and defections as we move forward. We have been losing for a long time and many were not aware. Now is the time to continue the fight and bring others aboard. Success breeds success. Victories breed victory. The smell of victory is in the air, but now is not the time to celebrate. It is time to redouble our efforts.

It is important to continue to search for people who we can send to our state capitals and Washington that reflect American values and will fight to restore the republic. Finding those who can lead but are not consumed with power can be tricky. It has always been the danger of leadership. Remember that power corrupts and absolute power, corrupts absolutely. It is very important to watch our elected officials closely so that they never again think that they are our leaders.
