Thoughts from Thursday 3-22-2012

Throwing gas on a fire: A former aid to the president is infamous for saying: "Never let a good crisis go to waste." Well even thou Mr. Emanuel is no longer in Washington, Mr. Obama still seem to live by this radical anti-freedom stance. Of course after the "beer summit" everyone with any commonsense knows that he has a disdain for the laws and the law enforcement of this nation.

His days as a community organizer never prepared him to be the chief law enforcement officer. He seems enjoy fanning the flames of hate. Well sir that is not your job. Maybe you should review the oath of office:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

You are not defending the Constitution by seeding division and feeding hate. Your words were not designed to calm the nation as witnessed by the reaction from the merchants of hate that continues to call for violence. What happened in Sanford Florida was a tragedy. It should be view in that way. Sane and caring people do not relish the death of anyone born or unborn. But you seem to desire that there is violence. Your actions once again bring the question up again: Are you fit to lead the country?

As this episode once again demonstrates your judgment is lacking. I pray for the country and you. You should look before you leap. I hope that you can control this—what appears to me to be a—deep seeded hate in your heart. This nation doesn’t deserve a person who is unable to control their words, emotion, and actions. You occupy the Oval Office and are suppose to represent all of the people in this nation, not just those who look as you do.

For someone who is able to garner a large enough following to become President of the United States, you don’t seem to be very intelligent. This sad episode should have been ignored or mentioned only to try and comfort, not insight violence. When you called for “soul searching” you try and convict not just the shooter, but all Americans. We did nothing wrong. But you seem to think that somehow there is a collective guilt. That type of thought process is not only ignorant, but unproductive. Instead of chastising the American people and instilling hate and resentment, you should be trying to comfort the bereaved family and the American people. Death is a part of life and I never like to see an innocent person fall victim to any crime. A leader and I mean a true leader would not feed the flames of hate, but work to calm people down and look for answers.

UPDATE: On Saturday 3/24/12 it was reported that there was an eyewitness to the shooting—as opposed to overheard phone calls—that support a different version of event than that of the LSM. It could be that this time again the Mr. Obama has thrown gas on a fire and fanned it again. Once again it seems that he acted "stupidly." But I do not want to make the same mistake that Mr. Obama continually makes, rushing to judgment.

Say Anything: Speaking of gasoline, it appears that Mr. Obama is once again painting a picture based upon fiction. He somehow thought that in 3 years he could solve America’s dependence on petroleum. Breaking it would be a great goal to obtain, but finding a replacement for an estimated 19.18 million barrels of oil per day (EIA) is a titanic undertaking. But he blindly through billions of dollars into programs like Solyndra which had no chance of succeeding.

In his 3 year run for reelection he has spun many of a fanciful tell, but his latest concerning oil production are almost—if not so serious—laughable. He claims that he is responsible for the increase in oil production, of course not that long ago he was saying that drilling today would take years—longer that three—to have an affect on oil supplies. So the increased oil production today is due to the permits issued by the Bush Administration, one of the few things that he has not blamed on Bush.

Well as he continues to blame the bad on anyone he can while taking credit for anything good, it is plain to anyone looking that he will say anything to keep his power. I just don’t see why he is qualified for reelection. He is not big enough for the job and has not grown in it. If nothing else, it seems that he has become smaller.

A Date of Infamy: This week marks the anniversary of The Death of the Republic when the Democrats in the US Congress ceased control of the heath care industry. Although this was just the first step in a 100 year goal, this action changed the relationship between the American people and the Federal government. This seizure of power has further separated those who are supposed to serve and the electorate.

Although this week marks the second year anniversary of this transgression, little has been heard from those who pushed it through. The only major defense I’ve heard was from former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. She seems to think that the Declaration of Independence somehow granted them the ability to impose this law. But I’ve heard nothing from Mr. Obama, who made ObamaCare the cornerstone of his administration.

For too long the creeping erosion of the Bill of Rights has gone on with little more than a whimper from many Americans. But now the tyrannical acts of the Democrats, Socialist, Progressive Socialist, and Communist who have gained power over the years have awoke many who have been asleep. They know that they must not show any weakness and are working very hard to not only destroy or electoral process—or just the faith in it—but to cement their power base. The 2010 election woke many of the tyrants up and they are now fighting back with every weapon they possess.

Even if the Supreme Court overturns the mandate, there is no certainty that they will overturn the either law. It may be even harder to repeal it. Even if it is repealed there are thousands of pages of regulations that have been written by the DHSS. These extra-constitutional regulations may make enough changes to the existing system that they will just become standard policy.

So what do we do? We don’t give in or give up. There is going to have to be a much needed house cleaning at the Federal government level. Many of those whose jobs depend on the enforcement of this unethical and unconstitutional government mandate must renounce it or find another career outside of government. We must remember this day of infamy and never again let a political movement obtain such a strangle hold on our day to day lives. Our lives and freedoms hang on the decisions we make today to bring our nation back to the freedoms once enjoyed.

Thoughts for Thursday 3-15-12

What the Fluke: If you are unaware of the Sandra Fluke affair then I must welcome you from your isolation. I for one hate to dive into women issues, but here I go. Call me old fashioned if you must, but I remember women calling other women who slept outside of marriage, with multiple partners, or just slept around the same word that Rush Limbaugh called Ms. Fluke. I keep hearing how vile that word is, and that it is degrading to woman, but I’ve heard young woman use that term with pride.

I remember a waitress, from a few years back, who’s nickname was wh*re dog and she seemed to relish in it. I was shocked when I heard her called that by her coworkers—both male and female—call her that as I eat breakfast one morning. I thought we were in the days when women wanted to be treated like men. It seems to me that Ms. Fluke willing put herself up for public display and the Democrat party is playing this meaningless episode to the limits. I personally don’t care about the whole affair, other then the fact that once again the President and his Progressive Socialists allies have changed the subject. The point of this whole conversation is the President is violating the civil and Constitutional rights of all Americans with ObamaCare.

The idea that American women could be fooled by this pack of lies and half-truths is frightening. I have more faith in people up to a point. I still believe that the majority of the country still believes in some basic moral standards. I see the hate on the left of all that is good, moral, and decent and I know that this is not the time to take anything for granted. What we are seeing in this case is pure evil.

I did not hear the testimony of Ms. Fluke or all of the comments of Mr. Limbaugh, but I heard much of them. The idea that this proves that there is a “war on women” by the Republicans is laughable. The only war I see is the Democrat’s war on all Americans and our freedoms.

A shocking strategic release: Reuters reported today that the US and UK have agreed to release oil from the SPR (Strategic Petroleum Reserve) some time this summer—just in time for the elections—but it appears that the administration has denied the report. It would seem that this little leak was not supposed to happen. As Mr. Obama runs around the nation and talks about how supplies of oil will have no affect on gas prices, I have to wonder why he thinks the release of oil from the SPR will help.

The sad truth to Mr. Obama’s ideas of how the world works is quaint. I’m sure that he really thinks that he can inspire another “moon shot” program that will create alternatives to petroleum for our energy needs. This is why he and his energy secretary get the idea that they must do everything to increase energy costs. He said so many times in the past, he has just recently (well since he wants to keep the fancy house, plane, and all the other perks that goes with being POTUS) realized the value of cheap energy. The idea has been around a long time: If energy cost goes up, then it would make the alternatives more attractive. Over time the cost of the alternatives would eventually come down in cost or the higher cost would be absorbed by the market.

The major problem with this elitist idea is that it is divorced from the reality of the lives of the majority of Americans. The prosperity that has marked the greatest improvements in the life of humans in the shortest amount of time in history has been fueled by cheap energy. Petroleum derivatives were first used to replace the use of whale oil for lighting. Over time it has become an intricate part of modern life. It is a natural product that is pumped out of the earth and refined and used for many different uses. According to many experts it will someday be depleted someday. When that day comes we will be forced to find replacements so we must continue to research alternatives, but there is no magic replacement as of today.

We must be realistic about our choices for energy. We must not be misled by an idealistic dreamer who believes that he can change the world overnight. Academic theories are just that; theories. It is easy to draw plans out, but another to deploy them. We cannot pin our hopes on pipe dreams. The government has a terrible record when it comes to picking winners and losers.

Voter Fraud: The same week that Pennsylvania’s governor signed into law a voter ID law, the DOJ blocked a similar bill in Texas. In addition the NAACP is asking the United Nations to look into these laws in the US. With the continuous cries of racism and voter intimidation from the Democrat Party it makes me wonder why they feel so comfortable with voter fraud? Could it be that they are not concerned about the Republicans, Tea Party, Constitution Party, or some other group stuffing the ballot boxes?

I’m really amazed that Democrats have embraced voter fraud as a major campaign issue. The idea that anyone can walk into a polling place and vote without any verification of identity makes no sense. The idea that anyone in this country who is involved enough in the system to vote would not have a form of ID is ludicrous. There can be no other reason for this stand against voter identification but the ability to stuff ballot boxes and steal elections or overturn results. This is a national disgrace. The Progressives who are now willing to attack the electoral system must be defeated.

The only thing more bizarre then the embrace of allowing unmonitored and uncontrolled voting is that countries that don’t allow free elections and discriminate decides the merits of our system. Is it not time for the NAACP to close their doors? It seems that the only reason they exist is to collect money and pay their employees. Beyond that their mission is to cause trouble to keep collecting dues.
