Roseanne Roseanne Roseanne

With all the reports of ABC and the rush to cancel the new Roseanne Show, I have to say that I believe that in the end this will be good for Trump supporters and America as a whole. Now before you hit the back button or close the tab let me explain. I believe, that like many actors, she is a self-promoting, self-serving, actor. She only cares about what whatever she believes will keep her in the spotlight. I fear that she, and her show, would have been only a fair weather friend.

To begin with, I must be honest and say that I never watched the Roseanne Show. I refuse to watch ABC, NBC or CBS network television. It is just has a lot to do with the political slant of their so-called news programs and how it creeps into of their programming. However, beyond that I can say that I never watched her show in its last iteration. The broadcast occurred after I began to look for other entertainment options. Therefore, I am not a critic of her acting or of the content of these productions.

I can only base my comments on what I have read or what others have said about its contents. I am not interested in her earliest show. I did find it very interesting that so many people became so enamored with the Roseanne Show when it returned. I just find the contents of her new show to be quite interesting.

Looking at the actual character of the lead actor who is the namesake of the program, my interest was piqued further. It should goes without saying that Roseanne Barr has always been a controversial person. She started her career as a stand-up comedian, billing herself as a domestic goddess. This persona brought her media attention, late night show airtime, and then her first prime time show. Her folksy comedy hit a nerve with many Americans and feed her popularity.

Roseanne is a wild card. Some of her past publicity stunts has been hard for me to explain, other than they were just that: publicity stunts. Her “2012 Presidential run” with Cindy Sheehan may have been just a way to sell a movie idea. However it the stance she pushed were socialist solutions. Her beliefs would seem to be far from the policies implemented so far by the Trump Administration.

Although her character declares her support for President Trump from the beginning of the reboot of her show, the writers for the show are liberals. My belief is that the end game could have been to use any reason to turn the narrative to the negative. I truly don’t believe that the people working on her show would have not tried to use her popularity to undercut the president. The progressives are pulling out all stops to turn back the hands of time and restore the damage done by Obama. It seems thou that Roseanne herself may have killed this plan by accident. Her tweet that caused the firestorm may have been her attempt to convince more of the show fans that she was on their side and it backfired. But the Progressive movement has been shattered so badly that they are feeding on each other. President Trump has outsmarted them at almost every turn.

This episode is not over. I just hope that if I am correct in my hypothesis, that it is just another sign that we are closer to draining the Washington swamp to the point where it can never regain this type of power again.
