Extremism Redefined

What does it mean to be an extremist? In the past that term was used to describe a person or group that was out of the mainstream of society. For so long the entertainment industry and the government has claimed to be the guardians of the "mainstream" of thought in this country. Their arrogance makes them think that they control society and define what should be the norm of our society. The sad fact is that many in this country do believe that the life shown to them by the major media is the truth of life. Too many of our fellow citizens live in a state of ignorance bliss, thinking that their fantasy world is the real world.

Once again on the Sunday morning talk shows the American people have been bombarded by Democrats talking about the extreme Republican "Tea" Party candidates running in the midterm elections. The Democrats see the Tea Party as a major threat to their agenda. They've worked very hard to discredit an organization that does not exist. There are organized Tea Parties, but there is not and I hope that there will not be a national Tea Party. The Tea Party Patriots and Tea Party Express are Tea Party organizations, but they are not the Tea Party.

The idea of the American people and our God given rights that the government is threatening is what called out many Americans under a common banner. The goals are varied and the ideas are many, but many of the people who are being attacked by the media are nothing more than concerned citizens who woke up one day to realize that the Federal Government was too far out of line. They say that our republic was in danger of falling. With the passage of the so called Healthcare Reform Law our freedoms became even more fragile. The process used by the government to seize control of the healthcare system demonstrated how far out of touch our government had fallen out of touch with the citizens.

The rise of the Tea Party touched many Americans and has caused fear in both major political parties. The smarter leaders and the "powers that be" in both parties saw a grass root movement that spelled trouble. For political partisans like Trent Lott and David Axelrod they saw the one thing that they feared the most; a group of citizens demanding political reform. For people who claim to be so politically attuned they failed to realize or refused to admit that they were out of touch. It appears that the Progressives in both parties have convinced themselves that they could destroy this movement in birth. Both recommended infiltrating and discrediting the movement. They understood that this movement was full of people who were demanding government reform. They understand that this reform will put them, like the current government has done to many of the average citizens, out of work.

The Democrats are repeating the extremist charge at every opportunity. Their goal is to convince as many Americans as possible that they are the norm and anyone who opposes their policies is an extremist. They hope to divide the electorate so that they can maintain power. Once again they put their personal power over the good of the country. Our politicians only seem to be concerned about their power and party. Their agenda, no matter the cost to the country, revolves around empire building. As they grow their power the citizens suffer. Their policy of discrediting the Tea Party is a desperate effort to continue the march of the USA into servitude. Unless we can halt the Democrats agenda our freedoms will be taken away and we will find ourselves living in a third world country. The citizens who love their freedom must continue to stand up and reclaim it.

For those who support the ideas of Tea Party to succeed will require them show patience. The system we are fighting was not built overnight and will not be defeated by one election. This election cycle the Republican Party was venerable. Even though the stated goals of the GOP in line with many in the Tea Party, the leaders are only paying us lip service. Their loyalties are with the party not the country. We must continue to push the Progressives out of the GOP and then work on the Democrats. This is the thing that are expecting, but we have learned that we are the mainstream that the extremism is coming from those who think that they can defeat the people through lies and intimidation. We must find honest people to run for office and back them up no matter what dirt is thrown. We must make sure we vote for the person, not the party. Neither party can be trusted. Remember that you can only trust people not the party. The cost of blindly trusting a party are too high.

It is not extreme to demand that our government follow the laws or our elected officials honor the oath to protect and defend the Constitution. Many of us understand now that those who have obtained power are using it for their own good not for the benefit of the country at large. We see their arrogance and that they don't respect the people of this great nation. They will say anything and tell any lie to maintain the power that they constantly abuse. It is the responsibility of every loyal American to understand that the real extremist are the Progressives and their policies. We can not allow the extremist to define the American system as extreme. We must take our country back. Remember that those people who are ignoring the Constitution, violating, and trampling on the rights of the American people are the extremist.
