A New Morning For America

The Sun rose on a new world for many political pundits after this year’s midterm elections. Many were hit in the face by an ice cold bucket of reality. It seems that many thought that the Tea Party was really a very small extremist group that they had co-opted and discredited. Most in the Democrats really believed that it was only a fringe element of the Republican Party. They assumed that would lose a few seat in the house as history has shown in normal midterm elections. It seems that they really believed that they could bribe the majority of the population with promises of paradise. I hope that their are still enough people in this country that really understand the flaws in Socialism. If not it must be the mission of those who do know the truth, educate those who have fallen for the lies.

But not only were the Democrats surprised, but so were many Republicans. The core of the Republican Party is showing signs that they are not willing to embrace the Tea Party. Let’s face it there are many members who are Progressive and know that any major move to change the party endangers their power. The victory on Tuesday does not mean that we’ve won the war. This was only one battle. It was a surprise for our opponents, but they are political savvy enough to be better prepared for 2012. The Tea Parties biggest advantage is the arrogance of their opposition.

Although the victory on Election Day was great, it was not large enough. I’m amazed at the talking heads moaning that the “blue dog” Democrats were the ones who were sent home and that now the Congress was more liberal than before the election. Well of course, that was going to have to happen. They still don’t understand that Tuesday was not about party. It was about the country. Too many of these “brilliant” political analysts treat the political system as if it is a ball game. They only see red and blue jerseys. There is no attempt to understand the issues. Instead they talk about polls.

The main mission of the Tea Party members is to go on the offensive. It is time to educate your friends, neighbors, and family. You must reach out to strangers. Too many people in this country are happy to be ignorant. You can not depend on the media to help. They will only hurt. They are loyal to the powers that be, but the new media provided by the Internet provides a great tool for people to gather the facts to make up their own minds. If the ideals of the Tea Party are correct then those ideas will stand up to lies. Many in the media are not afraid to say that the American People are stupid. I don’t believe this lie. Many of our fellow citizens are uninformed which is not the same as stupid.

This new day is only the beginning. It is not a time to ignore those who have abused the system for so long. They are not going away easily. They have not and will not surrender after one defeat. They are true believers and their is nothing more dangerous than true believers. But the advantage goes to our side. You have history and the truth on your side. But if you don't spread the truth it does no good. Keep your faith and fighting spirit. The rewards may not be obvious today, but our children and grandchildren will not know freedom if we fail.

As a side note: it was announced today that Keith Olberman has been suspended from his job at MSNBC. I would have never known if it had not been on the Internet. So I guess MSNBC will be looking for a replacement. I’m sure that they will be looking for someone as open-minded, smart, politically savvy, and lovable as Keith. Hey I think I have the answer. Isn’t Alan Grayson looking for a job?

I’m just saying…
